What is IRL Skills Camp?

IRL (Interactive Real Life) Skills Camp is a summer camp for all rising 6th - 12th grade students! The camp is run by college students from UC Berkeley, UCLA, USC and more. At camp, students will build their resume, learn the principles of graphic design or how to code, understand what it means to be a leader in your community, play fun games and more!

Cost: Free (thanks to our generous sponsors!)

Food: Lunch will be provided

  • The camp runs from August 8 - 10, Tuesday to Thursday 11 AM - 4 PM with optional supervised sports/game hangout from 5 PM - 7 PM.

    A sample schedule of a camp day will look like this:

  • No! AYM will provide lunch and snacks for all attendees. Dinner will not be provided.

    For any food restrictions and allergies, please email chris.le@areayouth.org. We will do our best to accommodate.

  • Due to our generous sponsors, the camp is free!

    1. A charged laptop! Most of the workshops (college readiness, coding, design, and life skills) require a laptop.

    2. Parent/Guardian waivers need to be submitted before students can participate.

    3. Reusable water bottles are recommended for camp each day.

    4. Optional - sports wear if joining us for the optional sports hangout afterwards from 5 - 7pm.

  • Please be dropped off in front of New New Life Now Church (136 Henry St, New York, NY 10002). We will have signs near the parking lot and welcome/registration people directing the way.

  • We are not offering transportation. Please drop off and pick up students before and after camp hours.
